It’s harvest time in Clark County. The leaves are turning, there’s a cool wind rustling through the trees and it’s time to get out and have some outdoor fun. Here are some Clark County places where you can find both pumpkins and fun this year.

Joe’s Place Farms

Joe’s Place Farms, located in east Vancouver, is open year ‘round. They offer fresh, seasonal produce direct from their farm fields and throughout Washington. They make jams, jellies and condiments and feature seasonal events.

The Pumpkin Patch is open September 26 through October 31. Families will enjoy hayrides, “The Fort” for kids and a huge corn maze (free). Admission is free. The pumpkin prices vary. There is a $2 charge for “The Fort” and for the hayride. Buy gourds and corn stalks for decorating.

Vancouver Pumpkin Patch at Velvet Acres Gardens

The Vancouver Pumpkin Patch is located in east Vancouver and offers pumpkins, hayrides, a covered petting zoo and in-barn hay pyramid and tons of fun activities. There is a $6 charge that includes a hayride and a pumpkin.

Bi-Zi Farms Pumpkin Patch

Bi-Zi Farms is located in NE Vancouver and is a year ‘round fruit and vegetable business. For harvest, Bi-Zi Farms goes all-out with a pumpkin patch, day and night corn maze, farm animals, wagon rides, pony rides, music and more. Admission is $10 per person, and free for those two years old and under. Seniors (62 and older) – $8 per person.

Check the website for days and hours when they are open to the public. 2017 opening weekend is September 30 and October 1.

Waltons Farms

Waltons Farms offers a pumpkin patch, corn maze, barrel train, hay wagon rides and farm animals. The pumpkin patch opens October 7 and is open seven days a week through the end of the month. The hours are Saturday and Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and weekdays 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. There is free parking and a small-farm experience.

Pumpkin Lane at Pomeroy Farm

Head out to Pomeroy Farm for harvest fun. Your admission fee will include a mile-long hayride down Pumpkin Lane, populated with more than 100 “pumpkin people” on the way to the patch. Pumpkin flume, hay bale maze, historical tours, and farm animals add to the fun.

Pumpkin lane is open Saturday, October 7 through Sunday, October 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sundays. The cost is $6 for adults and $4 for kids 3-11. Pumpkin prices will vary.
