Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and Battle Ground Chamber Council Announce Nominations for Annual Recognition Banquet

Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce (GVCC) and Battle Ground Chamber Council announce the finalists in each category for the Annual Recognition Banquet on February 21, 2019. Award recipients will be announced at the Annual Recognition Banquet, sponsored by Columbia Credit Union on February 21, 2019 at the Battle Ground Community Center.

GVCC and Battle Ground Chamber Council will honor one individual within the following categories: Lifetime Achievement Award, 2018 Citizen of the Year, 2018 Outstanding Youth of the Year, 2018 Business Person of the Year, 2018 Business of the Year, 2018 Teacher of the Year, 2018 Coach of the Year.

The finalists in each categories are as follows:

“Lifetime Achievement Award” finalists are John & Lynda Idsinga and Mavis Nickels.

“2018 Citizen of the Year” finalists are Tyler Castle, Marcy Sprecher, and Lydia Sanders.

“2018 Outstanding Youth of the Year” finalists are Victoria Crossland, Tyler Venneri, and Brooke Walling. “2018 Business Person of the Year” finalists are Kendra Laratta, Steve Niemi, and Dino Ramzi.

“2018 Business of the Year” finalists are Columbia Credit Union – Battle Ground, Emanar Cellars, and Richardson Eye of Battle Ground.

“2018 Teacher of the Year” finalists are Daniel Hidden, Alison Pierce, and Mary Sorenson.

“2018 Coach of the Year” finalists are Bradford Batten, Manny Melo, and Rob Smith.

The Annual Recognition Banquet is a yearly celebration of individuals and organizations, committed to community and service in 2018. Tickets are available to anyone interested in attending. Superintendent of Battle Ground Schools and past Board Chair of the Battle Ground Chamber, and John McDonagh, President/CEO of GVCC.
