Girl Scout cookie and wine pairings, special themed birthday celebrations, clothing and flower pop-ups, jewelry trunk shows, happy hour cocktails and stress relief products will all be featured as part of the inaugural Third Thursday event in Downtown Camas on April 15, 5 p.m.-8 p.m. These events will be held every month like First Fridays but with more of a “grown up” vibe including evening shopping, dining, sipping and special activities or happy hour menus in downtown businesses. “Woo-hoo! These are going to be fun!” says Carrie Schulstad, executive director of the Downtown Camas Association (DCA). “Adding more options for fun evening downtown experiences, and also encouraging shopping and dining local…these are the driving forces behind the new Third Thursday events. Every Third Thursday will offer something not typically found in the shops and restaurants such as pop-up shops, trunk shows, art shows and demonstrations, special happy hour menus and live music. This will be a perfect time to plan a date night or girls’ night out. Schedule a babysitter, grab your friends or sweetheart and come join us for the fun in Downtown Camas!”
Third Thursdays are being held each month of the year, each with a different theme. May’s Third Thursday will be on May 20 with the theme “Something Unexpected”. For more information, visit the Downtown Camas Association website.
