On Thursday, April 17, the Humane Society for Southwest Washington’s (HSSW) wooden mascots – Woof & Meow – will make surprise appearances around Vancouver. Clues to their whereabouts will be posted on HSSW’s social media pages (details below) and people who find them will win vintage Walk/Run for the Animals’ prizes, as well as discounts on registrations.

“The invitation to find Woof & Meow is a playful new way to engage the community in our annual Walk/Run for the Animals fundraiser, which benefits all our shelter animals,” says Stacey Graham, President of HSSW. “We are so grateful to our partners who are allowing Woof & Meow to come to their sites on Thursday. Everyone can join in the fun, win a prize and post photos of themselves with our new mascots.”

Woof & Meow are Walk/Run for the Animals’ perfect ambassadors given that the event’s tagline is “Woof. Meow. Party!” The event takes place on May 4 (more details below). The search for Woof & Meow is a fun way to inspire individuals and families to sign up for the Walk/Run for the Animals and join a team or create one to fundraise for shelter animals in need leading up to the event.
