If you are looking for a wine tasting adventure, look no further than the Yakima Valley as wine tasting is one of the top things to do in the area. The Yakima Valley is responsible for 40 percent of the state’s wine production and is Washington’s third largest officially designated American Viticultural Area (AVA). The Yakima Valley AVA has three wine regions, each with their own distinctive growing conditions. With so many award-winning wineries in Yakima County, you are sure to find a wine, or two (or more…there’s a lot to choose from here), that tickles your palette.
