Humane Society for Southwest Washington Still Provides Vital Services During COVID-19

Announces Reduced Hours for Ongoing Community Programs

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington (HSSW) is updating the hours and access to services due to COVID-19. This information is in place until the Governor deems it’s safe to gather again.

“We are doing all that we can to protect our staff, volunteers and the public while maintaining as many services as possible for animals in our care and those in our community,” says Stacey Graham, President of HSSW. “We have had such a heartwarming response from the public during this difficult time, and we’re deeply grateful for the support we’ve received.”

Here is a breakdown of the services currently affected:

Stray Animals/Lost Pets
Hours: Monday – Sunday from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. By appointment only, call 360-693-4746.
Location: HSSW Admissions entrance (South side of the building)

CHOW!
Free dog and cat food distribution for low-income residents
Hours: Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10:00 am to 12 noon. By appointment only, call 360.693-4746.
Location: HSSW Adoptions lobby

Community Foster Homes
We have received an amazing outpouring of offers to foster. We will not be able to accommodate any additional offers. Thank you!

ReTails Thrift Store
Closed pending a reopening announcement.
Donation activity at the store and trailer is also closed.

Pet food donations are always welcome. People can drop off food at HSSW’s front door. Pet food donations are also accepted through HSSW’s Amazon Charity Wish List, (link also available on HSSW’s homepage) where people can easily click, order, purchase specific items of need, which are then shipped directly to HSSW.
