The Downtown Camas Association (DCA) invites you to adopt a flower basket to again bring color and beauty to historic Downtown Camas this spring and summer. Especially now, the DCA wants to continue this tradition of beauty and charm that the flower baskets bring to Downtown Camas as a visual reminder of resiliency to merchants and the community. This is a way for people to contribute directly to the vibrancy of downtown as citizens frequently ask what they can do to support.
Baskets can be adopted for $45. The donation can be made on the DCA website and a receipt for your tax deductible donation will automatically be generated. The goal is to again bring 56 baskets to Downtown Camas on 4th and 5th Avenues and 8 more to 3rd Avenue if there is adequate funding. All supporters will be listed in the May 7th downtown newsletter and on the DCA website.
“Being able to preserve the beautiful aesthetic of our downtown is so important,” says Carrie Schulstad, Executive Director of the DCA. “For businesses and residents in downtown and those that walk and drive through, it shows we believe in our town and the recovery that is ahead of us. The baskets will be up in early May and by summer will be full and gorgeous welcoming everyone back to Downtown Camas!”
The DCA appreciates all the community support and also the City of Camas for all their past help in watering and maintaining the baskets through the summers.
The DCA is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and relies on donations to meet its objectives in Downtown Camas. The mission of the DCA is to develop and promote historic Downtown Camas by creating a vibrant social, cultural and economic center of the community while emphasizing preservation of the city’s historic features.
