If you’re like me, your halls are decked and you just have one last thing – the centerpiece of your holiday decoration – the family Christmas tree. This year, shop local by picking out an evergreen from a local Clark County Christmas tree farm. You can also find gifts and other holiday décor at these family-run farms. So, don your Christmas scarf, hat and mask and head out to find the perfect tree. Here is your 2020 Guide to Christmas Tree Farms in Clark County.

Farrell Farms is opening the day after Thanksgiving to help you find that perfect tree and finish your holiday decorating. They have Noble, Nordmann and Douglas fir this year, most under 9 feet tall. After selecting your evergreen, they will shake it and bale it for you, for free. Then, shop their wreaths and swags, which make great gifts as well as decorations for your own home. Finish off with a warm cup of hot cocoa. They also sell tree stands if you are in the market for a new one. Due to COVID-19, masks must be worn at the cashier, cocoa table and any time you cannot socially distance.

Fischer’s U-CUT

Fischer’s U-cut is doing reservations for their Christmas trees this year! Call 971-237-6317 to schedule a private Christmas tree shopping experience that will be the highlight of your year. They do have handsaws for loan, or you can bring your own hand-powered saw. They will have Turkish, noble (cultured and natural), Douglas and grand firs for you to choose from. Prices are $8 a foot. Glenwood Tree Farm

The Glenwood Tree Farm has a limited supply of trees and will be open just for on one weekend, so get there early if you want the best selection. They have u-cut Douglas firs, sheared, and fresh pre-cut noble firs, not sheared. Tree shaking is included! Be sure to check out their wreaths, tree stands and garland for all your decorating needs. Hilltop Trees

Hilltop Trees is a Christmas tree farm in Brush Prairie that offers both u-cut and fresh cut. They are in a growing year, so they are limited in quantities this year. They have Douglas up to six feet, grand to five feet, and noble fir to nine feet tall. Cash or check only, ATM onsite. Follow the Hilltop Trees Facebook page for updates.

Klopman Farms

Klopman Farms is a u-cut Christmas tree farm with noble, Douglas, Fraser and grand firs. If you want selection, this is the Christmas tree farm for you! They have road access to 136-acres of trees! Whether you want a small tree or one that would shame the Griswold Family Christmas Tree, they have it. After selecting the perfect tree, shop their wreaths and bundles of firewood. La Center Farms

La Center Farms is a u-cut tree farm with Douglas, grand and noble firs that will be open just one weekend this year. They will shake and bale your tree for you once you’ve made your choice. Free refreshments await you in the gift shop, so be sure to stop by there for your decorating and gift lists! Also, cartoons are playing in their theater for the kiddos. They ask that you check the La Center Farms Facebook page or call 360-573-8965 on Sunday to make sure they are still open before heading out, as they may run out of trees before then. Masks and social distancing are required.

The Tree Wisemans

26500 NE 53rd Avenue, Ridgefield

All the trees at The Tree Wisemans are tagged and priced, taking out the guesswork. They also have pre-cut trees available! This year they have noble, Nordmann, Douglas and grand fir trees.  Your tree will be baled and shook and they also offer flocking services and tree stands. Although the gift shop is closed and there will be no hot cocoa due to mandates, they will have their homemade wreaths made by the Wiseman daughters and granddaughters. And do not forget one of the extremely popular and cute handmade reindeer! There will be a new pay booth, more parking, expanded pre-cut tree display area, hand washing stations and hand sanitizer. Thortons’ Treeland

Thorntons’ Treeland is a u-cut Christmas tree farm in Vancouver that has a variety of noble, Fraser, grand and Nordmann firs for you to choose from. Once you find your tree, they can drill it and attach a special tree stand so it’s ready to go when you get home. They are still working on changes due to mandates that may affect the activities they can have available, but you can trust it will be a fun time on the farm no matter what! Washougal River Christmas Trees

The Washougal River Christmas Tree farm has noble, grand, Douglas, Fraser and Nordmann fir in both u-cut and pre-cut! Grab a tree cart for easy hauling regardless of which type you choose. Any tree is just $44.95 and any wreath is $19.95. They offer free tree shaking, bailing and drilling for your tree stand. Warm up with some free hot cocoa, coffee and candy canes. And be sure the kids get to stop and view the animals. Masks must be worn in the warming area and animal viewing barns.

Larwick Christmas Tree Farm

National Forest Trees

You can head to the woods to find that perfect Christmas tree, as long as you have a permit for our local National Forests. For Just $5 you can get a Christmas Tree Permit. Trees cannot be taller than 15-feet. New this year, permits are being sold online and are available now. Go to Recreation.gov to purchase a Olympia National Forest Christmas Tree Permit.
