Enjoy a Downtown Camas Evening

If you are looking to celebrate early, head to downtown Camas for their “A Chocolate Affair to Remember” First Friday on February 4. Nothing goes better with Valentine’s Day than chocolate! From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., downtown Camas businesses will be featuring chocolates and other romantic gifts including wine at certain locations. Maybe you are looking for a gift to give on February 14? This would be a great place to look for that perfect item.

Chocolate Tasting

Who doesn’t want a date filed with chocolate? Perfect for the sweet-toothed Valentine, The Gathering Place in Vancouver is holding a Chocolate Tasting Fundraiser on Thursday, February 10. Hosted by Options360, the event supports their Sexual Risk Avoidance program. The tasting will be led by Kalei Ross, an International Gourmand Award winner in chocolate for her book, “In Pursuit of Purity, The Paris Chocolate Files.” Attendees will get to sample several different chocolates from two local chocolatiers while learning the history of chocolate and how it’s made.

Take a Candle Making Class

If you and your significant other are into lost arts, a candle making class might be the perfect Valentine’s date night! Gather Arts Studio Shop in Brush Prairie is offering their Candle Making Master Class on Friday, February 11. During the class you will how to create a three-wick candle in a wood dough bowl.

Paint and Sip

A few places are going to be offering Paint and Sip activities for Valentine’s Day. This is a great date activity that is sure to bring you closer together. Three Brothers Vineyard and Winery in Ridgefield is having a Valentine Paint and Sip on Saturday, February 12. You can paint a fun, Eiffel Tower-themed piece of artwork while enjoying wine and light snacks. This is step-by-step, instructor led event, so don’t worry if you think you can’t paint!

Vancouver Art Space is having their event on Sunday, February 13 at 3 p.m. For $95 per couple you can choose from three designs, or paint your own creation.

Play a Game

If your looking for some good-old fashioned fun to start your weekend, head to the Camas Public Library for adult board games from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on February 11. They have games, or bring your own. Then, head into Camas for a nice dinner at Feast 316. This steakhouse is a favorite among locals and visitors alike. They are known for their steaks, so definitely try the ribeye, tomahawk or filet mignon. A perfect Valentine’s Day in Camas.

Make it a Staycation

Maybe you would like to get away for the weekend without driving too far. That’s easy, make is a staycation! There are many places you can stay within Clark County and have a wonderful time.
