The Parks and Lands division of Clark County Public Works will be working with a tree service contractor to remove several hazardous trees along the Lacamas Heritage Trail. The trees are located near the 2 Creeks Condos southeast of the Heritage Trail trailhead.
A concerned neighbor reported the trees to the City of Camas in 2021. The trees were evaluated by a certified arborist who determined that the trees present a hazard to structures on adjacent properties.
The hazardous trees will be removed during work to begin no later than May 1, 2022 and completed by May 25, 2022.
During work to remove the trees, the northern portion of the trail and north trailhead off of Northeast Goodwin Road will be closed 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Signs will be posted to notify the public of the closure. Adjacent property owners will be notified when work dates have been confirmed.
