The Artisans’ Guild of Camas, a vibrant community of 40 local artists and artisans, is excited to announce their upcoming Art Supply Drive 2023, titled “Empowered & Equipped: Helping Camas Students Embrace Their Creativity By Donating Needed Art Supplies.” This drive aims to support the Camas School District’s Middle and High School Art Programs. The drive will take place from August 7 to 26, with two drop-off locations available: the Camas Library at 625 NE 4th Ave, Camas, WA, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., (Monday through Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday) and Fuel Medical at 314 NE Birch St, Camas, WA. (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday)

With a shared passion for spreading art and creativity, the Artisans’ Guild of Camas has taken the initiative to ensure that every student in Camas has access to high-quality art supplies, enabling them to explore various techniques and mediums. The “Empowered & Equipped” Art Supply Drive seeks to provide students with the tools necessary to express their creativity and expand their artistic horizons.?

In addition to the physical drop-off locations, the Artisans’ Guild of Camas has introduced an online donation option to accommodate those who prefer to contribute remotely. You can shop via their Amazon Wish List. This allows individuals to select the desired art supplies from the list and conveniently complete their donation online. All items purchased through the Wish List will be sent directly to the organizers for distribution to the art teachers in the Camas School District. Donations through the Amazon Wish List are open until September 1, allowing for continued support beyond the drop-off dates. Inquiries about cash donations can be directed to Miranda Wakeman, at mirandawwakeman@gmail.com.

The Artisans’ Guild of Camas has identified several essential art supplies that are in high demand for middle and high school art programs. These include acrylic paints, watercolor paints, drawing pencils of various grades, paintbrush sets, canvases of assorted sizes, oil pastels, colored pencils, and much more. Donors are encouraged to contribute new, unused supplies to ensure the students receive the best materials for their art education.

The Artisans’ Guild of Camas is thrilled to collaborate with the Downtown Camas Association, Camas Library, Fuel Medical, and the residents of Camas, Washington, and surrounding communities, and invites everyone to participate in this noble cause. Together, through this art supply drive, we can empower the next generation of artists and foster a love for the arts within our schools.
