The Southwest Washington Wind Symphony opens its 13th season with “Legends of American Band” which showcases American master composers of concert band music. The program includes Requiem by David Maslanka and guest-conducted by Gregg Hanson, Emeritus Director of Bands at the University of Arizona. Other selections include The Hounds of Spring by Alfred Reed and the official march of the United States, The Stars and Stripes Forever, by John Philip Sousa.
The SW Washington Wind Symphony is a 55 – musician, professional quality concert band.
