“Small Town Values, Big Time Dreams” is the theme for this year’s Woodland Planters Days taking place Thursday, June 14th through Sunday, June 17th.
For locals, this is the kick off to summer. The 4-day celebration starts on Thursday at 3:00 PM with the carnival, Queen’s Coronation and fireworks.
Throughout the weekend activities such as bingo, a parade, Saturday Market, Firemen’s BBQ, Water Spectacular Ski Show, bed races, cruise in, car show, talent contest and so much more take place and bring Woodland alive. Check out the full list of events and activities here.
Planters Days, first held in 1922, is the longest continuously running civic celebration in the State of Washington. The four-day festival celebrates the completed construction of the dikes along the Columbia and Lewis Rivers preventing the annual flooding devastation that had historically wreaked havoc in the Woodland area.
