Russell Brent, owner of Mill Creek Pub in Battle Ground, was added to the Battle Ground Education Foundation’s Honor Roll at its annual “School Days” auction-dinner on September 30, 2017. The honor roll was started in 2016 as a way to recognize people in our community who have provided outstanding service and support to the foundation. Brent has been instrumental in helping to rebuild the foundation over the past three years. He has donated the coins from his restaurant’s water wheel for the past four years, has helped connect the foundation’s leadership to new partners in the community and has served as the Master of Ceremonies for the foundation’s annual auction-dinner. Colleen O’Neal, president of the foundation stated,” We would not have been able to provide over $20,000 to the students and schools of our district in 2016-17 without Russell’s support. He has a strong desire to see our public schools be the very best they can be so all students can be successful.”
