Vancouver has a rapidly growing population. While many people are quick to complain about it, there are many good things forming that all residents can enjoy together. On the riverbank slightly west of the I-5 bridge, there is a very large and entertaining Waterfront district being built called Vancouver Waterfront Park.

The brand-new promenade is a menagerie of restaurants, walkways, and places to live, with Grant Street Pier that resembles the bow of a ship as its pinnacle. The buildings around it give the pier the essence of a ship, giving an abstract yet aesthetic feel to the theme of the waterfront.

Whether your idea of a great evening is a walk watching the sun going down or a drink out on the town, or both, you’re bound to find it in the new district. There are a lot of features and restaurants that are currently open that give you lots of things to do in Vancouver. With more features currently under construction, this is a place that’s going to just keep getting better. Check out what is open now and what is coming to the Vancouver Waterfront Park. Then, visit the Vancouver Waterfront Park website for more updates on what is to come and watch the building happen via their live cameras.
