It’s time to get your green on! March is the time we celebrate the changing of the seasons, longer days and all things Irish! Whether you enjoy corned beef and cabbage—an Irish American invention—or something more traditional like bangers and mash, you can find it here in Clark County! Put on your favorite green shirt and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Vancouver, Washington and Throughout Clark County.

Start your March off right with a fun time in Downtown Camas as they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at their First Friday event! Lucky leprechauns, art gallery receptions, a “Green Zone” with family friendly “green” activities, a ribbon cutting, prizes, after hours shopping, kids crafts and the wearing of the green will all be a part of the “Go Green” themed March First Friday in Downtown Camas on March 4, 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Learn more here.

Both McMenamins Pubs are celebrating St. Patrick’s Day 2022 with a family-friendly, all ages celebration! They will be serving McMenamins own Irish Stout with food and drink specials. Their stout is a fusion of “coffee-like roasted barley bitterness & semi-sweet chocolate with moderate hop bitterness balancing a hearty backbone alongside a smooth, silky creaminess,” according to their website. While they are also bringing back their St. Patrick’s Day whiskey, 2022 Devils Bit, it will not be available at either Vancouver location this year. You can be sure they will plenty of Guinness though!

Events will vary by location, but they will have live music, including bagpipers at some. Check the McMenanmins website for more information.

ilani’s St. Patrick’s Day

Try you luck at ilani this St. Patrick’s Day and eat your fill of yummy Irish-inspired dishes specials for the day. The Stadium Sports Bar & Grill will be offering shepherd’s pie and corned beef and cabbage with parsley potatoes and carrots. The Michael Jordan Steakhouse will also be offering corned beef and cabbage, along with a beef stew and Irish coffee. Brown Suga will be entertaining guests at 5 p.m. in the Line & Lure and Mark Seymour & Friends will be entertaining at 5 p.m. in the Rose & Thorn.

Shanahan’s Pub & Grill has several fun, Irish-themed dishes that are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day. Try The Fightin’ Irish burger, with a beef patty, corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss and Shany’s sauce. Or The Dublin, an upscaled Ruben with braised corned beef, sauteed onions and peppers, topped with provolone cheese and horseradish on a hoagie roll. And of course, they have Guinness on tap.

Grady’s Public House has some great Irish fusion food for St. Patrick’s Day. Try their Irish nachos to start, which are fries or tots with cheese, pico de gallo, guacamole, onions, olives and sour cream. Chicken or beef can be added too. Then choose between some of their more traditional fare, such as a cottage pie with Irish soda bread, bangers and mash, or a Ruben. They are offering take out.

Dulin’s Cafe is another good choice for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Vancouver. They have plenty of Irish food to choose from, including breakfast and lunch items. Try their Irish banger sausage or one of their three Irish potato dishes. Heading their at lunch or dinner? Try a Ruben or some hearty Irish stew. They recommend pairing their Ruben with a Guinness Stout or Harp Irish Lager. Be sure to finish off with an Irish Coffee.

If you would like to get a meal with some Irish flavor that is not in a pub, try Joe Browns Cafe. They have corned beef hash with freshly cut potatoes served with two eggs and toast. Or try a corned beef omelet with cheddar cheese. Breakfast is served all day, so have these favorites anytime, or head to the lunch menu and feast on their Ruben, which is served with American potato chips.
