Nancy Funk, wearing period clothing, takes care of the the Fort Vancouver garden.

Once spanning up to 8 acres, Fort Vancouver’s English kitchen garden provided many meals eaten by the staff and families of the Hudson’s Bay Company. Today, a condensed version of the garden outside the fort’s stockade is maintained by many dedicated National Park Service volunteers and is open to the public from dusk to dawn.
