While it’s sad to see summer end, and kids go back to school, September brings Oktoberfest! A fun celebration of all things German. Originally a celebration of the marriage of King Louis I to Princess Therese von Sachsen-Hildburghausen, here in the states it’s all about the German beers and lagers. With plenty of bratwursts and sauerkraut. Here is where to celebrate Oktoberfest 2022 in Clark County.
Ridgefield Annual Oktoberfest

The Ridgefield Oktoberfest event is a family-friendly celebration! Come enjoy German food, live music, wiener dog races at 3 p.m. – enter your dog for just $5! – and a family costume contest for best Bavarian-themed outfit. The Bier Garten will have live music and local beer for those 21 and over to enjoy. Have fun trying your hand at axe throwing, archery and corn hole! Tickets can be purchased online. VIP Tickets are only available online, so be sure to purchase in advanced. Kids 10 and under are free. The public can watch the wiener dog races, located outside the festival, at no cost! Proceeds of the event go to the Ridgefield Main Street fund to preserve and re-invigorate Downtown Ridgefield.

Elktoberfest, The Vancouver Elk’s Oktoberfest celebration is back! This is a public membership drive, so all are invited to party with the Elks as they celebrate all things German! They will have live music including Robby Mayer and ThrillRide on Friday and Southern Sons and Full Zoo on Saturday. They will have bratwurst, other German food and local craft beer. Brush Prairie Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest in Brush Prairie is held at Alderbrook Park and is full of fun for the whole family. They will have a corn hole tournament; wiener dog races with costumes encouraged; kids sack and three-legged races; and tons of activities include pedal boats, bounce houses, a pirate ship and more.
