Calling All Art Enthusiasts! Washougal Studio Artists Tour Celebrates Sixth Year this Mother’s Day Weekend
WASHOUGAL, WA – Calling all art enthusiasts! Get ready for the Washougal Studio Artists Tour, now in its sixth year and better than ever. With 25 talented artists spread across 9 unique studio locations, this Mother’s Day weekend self–guided event is the perfect opportunity to explore the artistic heart of Washougal.
Bring your mother (family member or close friend) along for a special and memorable self-guided experience that you will both cherish for years to come. Together, you can discover and admire the artistry of local artists, and even find that perfect Mother’s Day gift among the many unique creations available.
The Washougal Studio Artists Tour is a celebration of the artistry found within the community. Come get acquainted with an eclectic group of artists who produce paintings and sculptures, mixed media, handmade jewelry, acrylic, watercolor, oil, fused glass, fiber arts, and more in the form of original artwork and affordable artful gifts.
A new feature this year is the Adret’ Artist Collective at Studio #6. The collective is a group of five local artists, Tamara Dinius, Liz Nye, Angela Swanson, Regina Westmoreland, and Deborah Nagano. They share studio space and create a variety of media like mixed media, collage, and acrylic art and share inspiration together. Additionally, new to the tour are:
• Bronze Sculpture by David Van Zandt
• Peace By Piece Pottery by Jennifer Patel
• DK Designs with Jenni Armstrong’s pyrography and leather arts
• Woven alpaca fir items and pottery by LesleyAnne Ezelle of Moon View Alpaca Farm
• Nancy Carkin, an acrylic artist
• Jeff Mayhew, wood tables and benches
But that’s not all. This year’s tour offers exciting new interactive features on the newly redesigned website. Washougalstudioartists.org. Delve into the world of each artist with in-depth profiles showcasing their unique styles and creative processes. Discover one-of-a-kind treasures before visiting the studios in person.
With the tour’s Google Maps integration on site, visitors can easily find driving directions to each studio location. Whether you’re searching for the perfect Mother’s Day gift or a fun day out, the Washougal Studio Artists Tour offers a unique experience that is not to be missed.
